Hospitality In The Name Of Christ is just what the name implies. We are a Christ centered shelter provides meals and a warm, safe place to sleep and we focus on building Christ loving relationships with our guests. We believe that trust is the most important motive for establishing these relationships.
Below is an outline of a “Typical” day when the shelter is open.
5:30 pm: Shelter Coordinator, Dinner Hosts and Team Leader arrive at the shelter.
5:45 pm: Evening Visitors arrive.
6:00 pm – 8:00 pm: Doors are unlocked for the Guests.
6:30 pm – 7:30 pm: Dinner is served. THIS IS A CHANGE FROM PREVIOUS YEARS!
7:45 pm: Overnight Volunteers arrive.
8:00 pm: Doors to the shelter are locked.
8:00 pm – 8:30 pm: Family Gathering time.
10:30 pm: Bedtime for the guests. Lights out!
6:30 am – Wake the guests.
6:30 am – Breakfast Hosts arrive.
7:00 am – Kitchen is open, serve breakfast to the guests.
7:30 am – Kitchen closes.
8:00 am – Shelter closes, Guests leave.
